Roofing Options: Quality, Performance, Appearance
Not all roofs are the same. While SEI Roofing only installs high quality roofing materials, there are a number of options and upgrades when it comes to roof aesthetics and levels of performance in adverse weather conditions.
Most customers choose one of two types of asphalt shingles: 3-Tab or Architectural. These asphalt shingles are the most economical and have lifespans of 20 years or greater.
3-Tab Roof Shingle – This is the most economical style, and it has been around a long time. The shingles typically lay flat on the roof.
Architectural Shingle – This style creates a dimensional look. While 3-tab shingles typically look similar as they all lay flat, architectural shingles come in a wide variety of designs to suit a many different styles of home and can add additional value to a home. Additional options include shingles that are impact resistant to hail (which may reduce homeowner’s insurance premiums) and shingles designed to withstand higher levels of wind.
Impact-Resistant Roofing (Class IV)
Part of life in North Texas is dealing with hail and wind storms. These storms can do tremendous damage to the roof of your home. An upgrade to an impact-resistant shingle on your roof can mean increased peace of mind. However, it may also qualify your home for reduced homeowner’s insurance premiums. Our SEI Roofing professionals can make specific recommendations for your home, but you should contact your insurance agent to check for possible discounts should you choose to invest in a Class IV roof.
